Dissection to Reconstruction-Producing Excellence
The Centre for Advanced Research and Development was established by the University in April,2024 and has 4500 sq ft. area. It will provide an over-arching structure for research activities in different areas of Medical Sciences. It will also facilitate development of scientific and professional manpower through research programmes leading to the award of Ph.D. degree, MD, MS, & M.Sc. in the different areas of Medical Sciences. The proposal to establish the Centre confirmed the Faculty’s commitment to enhance both the strategic planning and to generate the funding of its research; to raise the national and international profile of the Medical Research at Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences. It will also encourage research at all levels among faculty-from the youngest to the most senior members. It also sought to address the need for a Faculty-wide body to co-ordinate the promotion and development of research in the clinical field. The other aim of this centre is to evaluate various areas of research and then promote research activities among the Faculty, with due regard to their particular needs; encourage and support interdisciplinary research within the Faculty and between Faculties. It will also encourage collaborations with Industry and other national institutes and will advise on and encourage the pursuit of outside funding for Medical Research.
