Eligibility Criteria |
Admission to the MD/MS course shall be open to candidates who have qualified NEET-PG of the concerned year and are eligible as per the criteria laid down for various categories in the Punjab Govt. Notification/Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences (SGRDUHS) rules. |

Mode of Admission |
All admissions under various categories viz. Sikh Minority/Open (General) Management/Reserved/NRI quota will be made by the Nodal Agency of the State Government only. Selection will be made on the basis of merit of qualified candidates in NEET PG for MD/MS conducted by National Board of Examination, New Delhi. Counselling will be carried out by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (Nodal agency of Government of Punjab for MD/MS admissions). Candidates are advised to follow the instructions given in the prospectus issued by BFUHS, Faridkot. SGRDIMSR/SGRDUHS does NOT conduct selection/counselling for admission to the course. Prospectus is available online on the college and university websites www.sgrdimsr.in www.sgrduhs.in and is not required to be purchased. Matter for affidavits required for admission under Sikh Minority quota as noted below is available in the prospectus. |

Important notes for admission under Sikh Minority quota |
i) A candidate will be considered Sikh/ belonging to Sikh Community if he/ she practices the Sikh faith, and maintains Sikh appearance (sarup), i.e., he/ she does not cut or trim hair and wears turban (in case of male candidates) and has the word “Singh/ Kaur” with his/ her name, has faith in the Ten Sikh Gurus and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji only, and does not owe allegiance to any other sect or religion. |

ii) A male Sikh candidate who does not presently bear the suffix “Singh” and a female Sikh candidate the word “Kaur” with his/her first name, should get it added legally through an affidavit along with notice in two newspapers regarding change of name, prior to submitting his/her application to the University. The candidate shall have to furnish an affidavit to this effect, and also that he/ she will continue maintaining Sikh appearance during the course of studies and thereafter |
